A friend of mine from school used to smoke “like a chimney”.
The company where she was working for at the time, gave her an electric cigarette even.
I spoke to another friend from school recently with whom we always met up whenever I came home to Japan.
This friend told me, “Oh! I have to tell you. Y (the smoker friend) now goes to gym regularly for weight lifting exercise! She looks amazing. Obviously, she no longer smokes.”
This is the theme of today’s blog.
How to be.
We often hear people saying “I want to stop smoking”, “I want to loose some weight” etc.
If you are successful with those things, then you seem to know “how to be” already, so skip this.
But people who have difficulty to stop smoking, loose weight…, what do they do?
Let’s begin with smoking.
If you want to stop smoking, what would you normally do?
You would probably try to STOP smoking, would you?
That’s not HOW TO BE.
Because you do NOT want to stop smoking you see?
So the first question will be, and this will be the same for those who have been unable to loose weight, “How would you like to be?”
By loosing some more weight, by stop smoking.
Most of the people want to achieve those because they want to become healthier.
So, the right answer here is to START DOING SOMETHING THAT MAKES YOU FEEL HEALTHIER.
Instead of stop doing something you like (or hard to stop).
Isn’t it simple?
So now, what does make us prohibit from seeing things simply then?
That’s our misaligned beliefs, projections from others like parents, society etc, judgements of self and others….etc.
For example, if you have a misaligned belief of “I can never be healthy because my parents had the same chronic condition”, then you wouldn’t SEE the obvious choice to do something that feels healthier.
This is how we block our parception.
It is harder to discern what misaligned beliefs are obstructing you from achieving what you want to achieve but haven’t been able to do so.
In my energy healing session, I will pick up your misaligned beliefs and clear them in relation to your concerns.
